Hua Medicine ("the Company", HKEX Stock Code: 2552) announced today that, dorzagliatin (trade name: MYHOMSIS®, 華領片®), the Company’s global first-in-class glucokinase activator (GKA), had its first prescription dispensed in Hong Kong. Approved for marketing under Hong Kong’s "1+" innovative drug registration mechanism in February 2026, dorzagliatin has now made a significant breakthrough from regulatory clearance to real-world clinical use.

Beili Cao, Vice President of the Department of Corporate Operations and Great Bay Development of Hua Medicine, said: "The first prescription of dorzagliatin in Hong Kong is a significant milestone, establishing it as the first innovative chronic metabolic disease drug approved and clinically launched under Hong Kong’s '1+' innovative drug mechanism. This achievement underscores our commitment to providing access to innovative treatments broadly across the Greater Bay Area."

Dr. Li Chen, Founder and CEO of Hua Medicine, stated: "We are delighted to see dorzagliatin receive its first prescription in Hong Kong, which fully demonstrates the global clinical competitiveness of China’s independently developed first-in-class therapeutics. Hong Kong boasts a mature community diabetes care framework. As a vital hub connecting China with Southeast Asia and linking to global pharmaceutical markets, Hong Kong features an international regulatory framework, comprehensive medical resources and a sophisticated capital market, making it a core pivot for Hua Medicine’s internationalization strategy."

Capitalizing on Hong Kong’s unique geographical and industrial strengths, Hua Medicine will further advance its commercialization strategy targeting Southeast Asia and global markets. Going forward, the Company will take Hong Kong’s clinical rollout as a benchmark to refine overseas registration and commercial operation networks, steadily advance preparations for dorzagliatin’s launch across the Asia-Pacific region, and continuously export full-cycle innovative diabetes management solutions originating from China.
